Boosting projects with world-class PCB assembly.

Big thanks to this week’s sponsor: PCBWay

In this episode of the Teardown Sessions, we speak with Bulbul Yousif, a.k.a. chipperdoodles. Yousif is the creator of Anwaar, a hardware platform for personal, portable PCB tokens.

About Anwaar

Anwaar, which is Arabic for "a collection of lights," combines art and circuitry into a convenient, attractive, wearable medium of expression. Each of our products includes a microcontroller, power-management circuitry, breakouts, a hybrid supercapacitor, and a beautifully designed faceplate, which is where the magic happens. You can wear your Anwaar as a necklace or brooch, hang it as an ornament, carry it as a pocket token, build it into a product, or put it to use in a million other ways.

About Our Guest

In their own words: Chipperdoodles (They/Them) is a rather silly person. They’ve had a varied life that was never one thing or the other, just one foot in and one foot out. They grew up on citrus ranches in California but went to school in the suburbs. They studied and worked in print for seven years at university and daydreamed about creating comics so they actually making their own webcomic. Then eventually they came back home home and worked in the ranch mechanic shop. Somewhere a long the line they picked up a keyboard hobby which turned into an electronic design hobby. They got a job as a pcba machine operator which they worked for four years before learning that they are wholly incompatible with corporate culture. That brings them to now and the creation of Chipperdoodles Chippydootles, a place they can share their electronic creations with people.
