HealthyPi 6 is a powerful, open-source platform for capturing biosignals like ECG, PPG, and respiration with research-grade quality at high speeds. Unlike proprietary systems that lock you into vendor ecosystems, HealthyPi 6 gives you complete control over your data and the freedom to modify, extend, and integrate the platform according to your needs. The open-source design means no licensing fees, no vendor lock-in, and complete transparency in how your data is processed and stored.
HealthyPi 6 takes the proven foundation and principles behind HealthyPi 5 and delivers a massive performance leap. It features dramatically faster signal acquisition, significantly enhanced processing power, and expanded storage capabilities, setting a new standard for open-source biosignal monitoring platforms. Built for healthcare professionals, researchers, and biomedical engineers who value data ownership and system flexibility, HealthyPi 6 scales from single patient monitoring to complex multi-signal research studies.
HealthyPi 6 stands out not just for its clinical-grade signal acquisition but also for its exceptional processing power, flexibility, and the extensibility offered by open-source Zephyr RTOS. This dual-core ARM microcontroller was specifically selected for its Cortex-M7 and Cortex-M4 processors, each running separate Zephyr applications. The deliberate choice of this architecture ensures dedicated real-time signal acquisition on one core, while the second core handles complex algorithms, data processing, and communication tasks concurrently.
It provides developers with a modern, scalable environment to build and deploy complex applications, from real-time data visualization to running on-device machine learning models. This makes HealthyPi 6 ideal for a wide range of high-impact use cases: remote patient tracking in low-resource settings, practical learning tools in academic biomedical labs, rapid health-tech prototyping for startups, AI-driven cardiac monitoring in research labs, and precise biosignal logging for medical AI model development.
